Could you tell me if the Yamaha FG140,150, 160 and 340 were solid tops or if the tops were laminate, and the same for the backs and sides. Yamaha and Takamine and other Japanese guitar manufacturers did make some clear copycat guitars sometimes known as "lawsuit guitars" for obvious reasons. The Yamaha FG-340 and FG-365S were modeled after the Martin D-28 and D-35, I believe - can't remember which was which at the moment.
